finley // 6 months

Happy 1st Half-Birthday, Finley! We cannot believe how quickly the past six months have flown by. Finley has become such a cute little lady with a personality that is really starting to show through. She is so happy and sweet. We're learning that she can be a little shy around new people and that it takes a little bit for her to warm up to someone and give them a big smile! She is continuing to grow and grow and, sadly, we have to keep putting clothes in her "outgrown" box! Everyday is a new adventure with this munchkin as she continues to develop and learn all sorts of new tricks. We love you, "Finley bo binley!" We can't imagine our lives without you!

Weight: About 14 and a 1/2 pounds I think! We'll see for sure next week at her 6 month appointment!

Height: About 25.5 inches!

Hair: Her hair has been growing so much the past month! She really has a good amount now! It's kind of a dirty blonde color. In some lights it looks very blonde and in others it's a very light brown.

Eating: Finley continues to do very well with her formula. She averages between 28 and 30 ounces a day and definitely knows how to tell us if she needs more or less haha. We also have slowly been introducing her to solids, which has definitely been a very messy adventure! So far Finley loves carrots and sweet potatoes and kind of likes rice cereal.

Sleeping: Back in January we spent the whole month sleep training Finley at night. It took a bit longer than the books say (she can be pretty stubborn), but she now consistently puts herself to sleep every night and sleeps from about 6:30 pm to 6:00 am. It's definitely made a huge difference for us. Naps are still tough, so I'm planning on sleep training her during the day soon. But honestly I still hold Finley for a lot of her naps. Since I'm not breastfeeding, this is how I get to cuddle and bond with her everyday and I really love it! But I know that I can't do that forever haha. Plus I really would like to have more time to myself everyday!

Likes: Finley loves to play with (and chew on) all her toys! She also loves to roll around all over the place and splash around in the bath. And she loves to squeal at the top of her lungs! Sometimes she makes herself laugh with all her noises!

Dislikes: She isn't a huge fan of being on her tummy still. And she doesn't like being held for long periods of time (like at church). She's very independent and prefers to spend time playing on the ground by herself. But she doesn't like being left alone for too long either ;)

Milestones: Finley finally learned how to roll from her back to her tummy and now she won't stop! And she's also been trying lots of new foods. She's been teething, so we're expecting her first tooth soon!
