finley // eight months

What can I say about our big eight-month-old Finley? She's turned into the sweetest and happiest little girl. I would describe her as very observant and cautious around new people and places, but also very adventurous and not afraid of anything. She loves to be spun around, hung upside down, and thrown into the air! She's very curious about the world around her and I often call her Finley the Explorer. She loves to laugh and make us laugh too! She is just too much fun. I am loving this age!

Weight: Finley weighs around 16 pounds 6 ounces (28th percentile)

Height: About 26.5 inches (27th percentile)

Hair: Her hair just keeps growing and growing! She's got quite a bit on top of her head now and it definitely is a dirty blonde color. We feel like it'll probably go brown in just a couple years.

Eating: Finley continues to do great with her solid foods. She eats all sorts of pureed fruits and veggies and so far the only thing she really hasn't liked it pureed chicken (can you blame her?!? Yuck!). We're getting ready to start giving her juice and fruit and veggie puffs this month. She's also still doing well with her formula and is starting to learn how to hold the bottle all by herself!

Sleeping: Sleeping is thankfully going great! Finley sleeps a solid 11 to 12 hours every night and we've finally got naps down too. She does 2-3 naps a day in her crib and sleeps about 2 or 3 hours total during the day. There are good days and bad days with naps, but now that she's napping all on her own I'm getting so much more done! I feel like I have my life back haha!

Likes: Finley loves to roll around all over the place! She is very mobile this way and can pretty much get anywhere she wants to go now. She also loves swinging at the park and being thrown in the air by her daddy. She LOVES playing with daddy.

Dislikes: She definitely does not like being put down on the ground after being held for a while. She always cries for a few seconds, but then sees a toy and calms down haha. She also does not like it when we move her away from things she shouldn't be playing with.

Milestones: Finley finally learned how to sit up by herself! And she's also learned how to army crawl. We think she's very close to actual crawling as she's been getting up on her hands and knees more and more!
