twenty-two weeks

How Far Along? 22 whole weeks!

Gender? Girl!! We are so so happy and excited still! Now we're going through the process of choosing a name and it's so fun. We've narrowed it down to two names, but we can't decide!!

Baby Size? The size of a papaya (weighs about a pound, 11 inches long)

Movement? I'm starting to feel her more and more everyday! I found out at my 20 week appointment that I have an anterior placenta, which means the placenta is located in front of the baby instead of behind. So this makes it a bit more difficult to feel the baby because she has to kick through the placenta for me to feel it. From what I've read, I'm currently feeling what most people feel at 17 or 18 weeks. It feels like tiny twitches around my stomach. It's cute because sometimes when I have a big sneeze I can feel lots of twitches afterward! I'm just so glad to be feeling her now!!

Maternity Clothes? Yes and no. The only real maternity clothes I wear are my maternity leggings still. The jeans I ordered were way too big and after trying on wayyy too many pairs, I've decided no maternity jeans for me. I'll just live in leggings and maxi dresses :) And I've been stocking up on lots of comfy, flowy t-shirts too, which is what I like to wear normally anyways.

Sleep? I have good nights and bad nights.

Best Moments? Starting to pick up nursery furniture and putting together a nursery design!

Missing Anything? Nothing in particular.

Food Cravings? At this point, anything and everything sounds good haha. I feel like I could eat and eat and eat and never feel full! But I'm definitely cutting back and trying to eat more purposefully throughout the day. Still super hard though!

Queasy or Sick? Nope. Feeling good!

Symptoms? Lots of hunger, feet swelling here and there, and "pelvic girdle pain."

Happy or Moody? Happy! Sometimes I can be a worry wart about our baby, but for the most part I'm feeling good.

Looking Forward To? Having our next ultrasound in two weeks with the specialist. We had our first appointment with the specialist last week, but since baby girl was being super stubborn and wouldn't change positions at all, they only got half the information they needed to make sure she won't have any heart defects because of her single umbilical artery. So I can't wait till our next (and hopefully last!) appointment with them so we can know for sure that she's okay.
