| Last day in Austin in our empty apartment! (Finley was back in Houston with Grandma) |
As of last saturday, the Athans have officially moved to Houston! The move went super well and we are now just about settled in our new place (aka my parent's house)! We're going through lots of adjustments right now, especially for Zach, what with him starting at his new Houston office at HP and also getting used to a MUCH longer commute (he went from a 2 minute commute to an hour commute everyday bleh).
I think the person taking all these new changes the best is Finley! She is having an absolute blast living at grandma and grandpa's house! She loves my parents and has been having a great time getting to know her Aunt Nelly and Uncle Jordan better since they only live a few minutes away. She loves her big, new room and has been quite the explorer trying to discover all the nooks and crannies of the house. She's been so fun this week!
It was definitely a bittersweet move for us since we'll miss Austin a ton, but we know this is where we're supposed to be right now. Hugs from Houston!!
